ALMOST SHOW TIME!!!

Image
I am soooo excited! Showtime is almost here and I get to see my girl take the stage again! I went for the final dress rehearsal with my mom because we were told they were going to rehearse without masks. They didn't and we were so bummed but still got some great shots! I may try to sneak a few shots opening night (TOMORROW!) Until then, here are some shots of my baby girl doing her thing!

Open Mic with some Fans!

Image
It was time for another Open Mic Night and it was great to have Dave back on bass. The place was absolutely packed and we had to stand for quite a while before we could even get a place to sit! A table finally opened up and it was a good thing because Wendi, Scott, and Bradley came to watch too! Brad is one of Joe's best friends and I love that he came out to watch him play! Of course I took video too so HERE is a video of full songs that they played and HERE is a shorter video with highlights.

Snow Days!

Image
You know what is awesome? Having a snow day and having it be a LEGIT snow day! No needing to zoom or teach over a computer (of course we all seemed to do some school work). I hope these special days continue because there is so much excitement and joy surrounding them! The snow came down solid for hours. We went out in 2 people shifts every two hours to shovel! Ali was my buddy! As you can see, there was a LOT of snow!!! AND BONUS... We have no school tomorrow too!  YEAH!!!

Date nights are Back!

Image
It has been so long but it feels so good to get back to our date-nights. A perk of having older kids that can drive is you get to date your spouse again. Jeff and I had been hitting Kickstands for their Taco Tuesdays (and of course drinks) pre covid and I'm happy to say we're back.  He usually does most of the shopping or we do a clicklist but after dinner we went to the store to pick up a few things and I couldn't believe how little was on the shelves! There's a storm predicted so maybe that but sheessh! I had to take a picture to document it!

Open Mic Night at Andy's

Jeff makes fun of me a bit... I didn't always go to Open Mic Nights when it was just him but now that Joe's doing them with him, I don't miss them. It helps when they are on the weekend though- like this one. Then I do go and see my hot hubby! Dave couldn't make it so it was just "Jeff and Joe." Andy's is is Holly and it was PACKED! It was such a busy place and super friendly and I swear you walk in and it's like there's no covid. No masks, no nothing... I still had mine on but I think I was the only one. I took if off once I got to our table and I got a beer. Joey showed me how to put snapchat on my phone so I could see where it was on a map with these cute emojis (even though he told me that his is usually turned off). The guys were great and I took videos of all the songs they did HERE and also put together a shorter video with highlights HERE . I do love that they take pictures though so we also found these gems!

Poor Ali. Poor Car.

Image
There is no worse call to get probably than one telling you your kids have been in an accident! Thankfully no one was hurt but Ali (our driver) was pretty shaken. The weird thing is she had called me Monday because the roads were bad and there was an accident where a car spun out and nearly missed them. Well this time, it was Ali who hit a patch of ice and couldn't stop in time. I just felt horrible for her but as we know accidents happen. She was able to drive into the parking lot and report it to the police officer on site (the girl she hit actually kept driving and didn't stop and Ali was stopped at the light. The huge bummer was that while she drove it to the parking lot, it would not drive again. We had to have it towed (not cheap) and then realized that we had to total it because sadly it's not worth fixing. Even more sad probably is that cars are SUPER hard to get due to covid and if you can find one they aren't cheap! We just need to remember that this could hav...
