Ali Goes to Cedar Point

And that's all I have to say about that... I guess she had fun. These are the two pictures I got (from her). I think I have the only teenage girl who isn't obsessed with pictures and social media posts. That's not a bad thing unless you want to try to document things.

End of Middle School for Joe

Image
The day after Joe's 8th grade graduation, he was off with his peers to Cedar Point! He hung out with Owen since both of them aren't too keep on rides but he did ride a few rides like Iron Dragon and Cork Screw but spent the majority of the time just handing with friends. Of course I asked him to send me pictures and I got hardly anything... Thankfully some of the people he was with took some pictures so they sent them to Joey who sent them to me. Anna and Lily went too but Lily's dad drove them so they didn't ride on the bus. I guess Jordan went on so many rides she got sick so Joe gave her that thing she's laying on. Joe said he lost Owen for a while in the arcade which made me laugh because I remember him spending a long time in there when we went in 7th grade. On the last day of school, Joe hung with some friends at a lake while I was busy packing up my classroom! Ah! To be young again. I know these kids are going to have a blast in high school!

Cedar Point Trip

Well, it was time for me to chaperone my second field trip as a mom. In 7th grade the band and orchestra go play a festival (to be graded) in Ohio and then we head to Cedar Point for some fun. Last year with Joe he sat with a friend on the bus but Al chose to sit with her mama... (awwwwww). Charter busses now have plugs on them which is super cool and the bus was pretty quiet (only one boy on the bus). They made me head chaperone which meant I had to check to make sure we had everyone. Easy enough. No one got lost and the first stop was to play. The orchestra sounded great and this year I knew I could record so HERE is a video of them playing. We were a bit late because there were 3 busses that drove down but somehow the second bus went straight to Cedar Point so we had to wait for them to come back to the school where they were playing. Thankfully it wasn't too far. After they played we headed to the park. Once we got there the first thing the girls did was hit the...

Cedar Point Field Trip!

Image
For the first time EVER, I volunteered to chaperone a field trip and it was a biggie... to CEDAR POINT! The band and orchestra went to play nearby for a score (they did great and got the highest score they possibly could) and then it was off to the park. It was a cold and dreary day. I sat with Dana on the bus and it was fun chatting with her, though when we got to the park Joe met up with other friends. There were a total of 8 boys that hung out together and one of Joe's friend's dad came too, so we just followed them around. Half the kids loved rollercoasters and the other half didn't. I'd put Joe in the latter half~ though we did get them on some of the rides. We mostly rode the corkscrew and raptor. I got them on the Iron Dragon and I think that ruined it for some of them. I thought they'd love it (the Raptor) but I was wrong. I thought Joe's poor friend would throw up he was so scared~ but we all lived to talk about it. It was fun meeting...
