Summer Work...

Lisa moved to Union Lake and I was so excited to spend time with her and my first team! Jill, Lynn (who retired), Dawn, Lisa and I had a great day catching up, eating and drinking in the fresh air! Dawn doesn't like her picture taken but she's amazing and was there too!

Escaping to the Elk!

We got away to our home away from home and it was PERFECT! I think the pictures speak for themselves! Thank you Nana and Papa. No eating out but we did make it to mini-golf. I thought it was creative to use pool noodles to keep your ball from touching the sides... etc. The two that didn't get holes in one!

LAST DAY!!

Image
I'd say that school was out, but we've been out of school since April. My calendar was frozen on April 13th which was when I THOUGHT we'd be back... Little did I know. I got special permission to have Ali come in and help and we packed up my classroom. Alexa (friend and para-pro and former parent) also stopped by to help a little bit.  We gave the kids a gift for surviving the year. I thought it was pretty clever. I've been so tired but it was nice to have Room 119 officially closed up! Our last "day" with kids, we did a zoom meeting where we all talked and hung out. I had avoided live zoom meetings since some of my kids couldn't make it during the day since they had parents who needed the computer and I didn't want anyone to feel left out. I did make a little video of that last zoom meeting though as well as a flip-grid video made from my buddy Gage. Such a sweet kid and this melted my heart!

Zach's Movie Review

Image
For school, Zach had to do a movie review. I think that this would have been a difficult project for someone who didn't have access to internet or movie making type experience. Clearly, I had to teach him a bit but he did a GREAT JOB!

Saving a Bunny!

Image
After my run and walking the dogs, I came back home and right by my driveway in the road there was a little bunny. It was so little I could fit it in my hand. I called the Howell Nature Center and Ali and I drove out there so that they could help this little guy. HERE is a video of this that I made for my class.
