Zach got his permit!

Z passed his class and his drives and was able to get his driver's permit! I can't believe we'll have ANOTHER driver soon! Although I'm not back to work and still struggling, I'm now allowed to be around people with my mask on so insisted I go with the boys to the Secretary of State. When they were inside I slept in the back and when they came back, I snapped a picture of Zach and then a few more from the backseat! He really did a great job! Hopefully he'll get better and better and get that license soon! Ehhhh!!

OMG! ANOTHER DRIVER??

I feel like we just did this but here we are again!! Z is starting driver's training soon so I thought we NEED to get to a parking lot just so he can learn how to start a car, accelerate and brake. It's a good things we did this! We went to a nearby parking lot at a church and Z didn't realize that you only use your right foot on both pedals. I mean, it does make sense, it's not something you really talk about. Other than that though he did a good job! I showed him how the signals work and accelerating and braking. He did a good job and I feel MUCH better knowing that we did this and he'll be ready for Driver's Training. Note to self to remember to do this with Seany too. I'm sure I won't forget!

She passed!!

Oh happy day!!! Ali passed! They often talked about how he wore his mask (nose exposed). She and Sarah often talked about their instructor. They had some pretty funny stories. On her last drive, he asked me if I'd like to go with them! I did and all those crazy, funny stories made total sense! With Covid of course there aren't a lot of places to go but we're going to just have to carve out drive times to get those hours! I felt pretty good with Ali behind the wheel. I think Joe broke me in.

Driver's Training! Wooo hooo!

So Driver's Training has not been the easiest due to Covid. We couldn't get into where Joe had his sessions because they were so backed up. Ali is started way later than she'd like but we already have an appointment with Secretary of State for her permit AND license on her birthday. She's super on top of things so I have no doubt that she'll get it done. I think she felt a bit better going with her twin!

JOEY IS DRIVING!!!

We were FINALLY able to fit Joey's Driver's Training classes in. With cross country ending and Footloose starting up (He made the ensemble which I'll save for another post), this was the only time to get it in. On his first drive it was just him, so the instructor asked if I wanted to go with. I said sure. I figured he'd just be going around cones in a parking lot or something. WRONG!!! Not only did we leave the parking lot we went all over town including round-abouts and it was DARK! The instructor was incredibly calm and told us he'd had only 3 accidents with student drivers (that felt like 3 too many to me). I'm happy to report Joe did NOT get into any accidents!  Joey was surprisingly calm but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a death grip on the door handle. He did well though and eventually got the stopping down without whiplash! I still can't believe my baby is old enough to drive but here we go! The next day we went to vote (SO ...
