Days with the Dorans

 I can't believe our baby is ten!! It's crazy how time has flown and I remember being pregnant with Sean and wondering who he would become. There's never a dull day with him and I don't know if there is someone out there with a bigger heart.  Grandma was able to come down for a soccer game and an early celebration for our ten year old. I just love this picture of them! Sean was super excited because this year he actually got his first friend birthday party. Poor kid~ we're always in the height of soccer season and weekends are tough! This year his birthday fell on Rosh Hashanah which was on a Wednesday meaning no school OR soccer! Sean wanted to have a party at Zap Zone so I made it happen. He only wanted 3 friends to come (one couldn't because he was celebrating the holiday). I can't believe my Goose is TEN!!! I remember meeting him like it was yesterday. How I was so surprised that he was a boy and how I loved to just snuggle him. He is such a joy. He's our outdoor kid who is always on the go. We love him so much. I made him a video HERE of his first ten years and wow... so many memories!!  Because his birthday fell on Easter, it was a smaller gathering and I didn't get many pictures... Grandma came down and of course Nana and Papa were there along with us. He had a great day and was so thankful for all his gifts. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GOOSIE!! Double digits!!! From now until 99! You are soooooooo loved!

I can't believe my Rainbow is a DECADE!!  We had a wonderful time celebrating Ali's birthday!  After church, we met up with all the Drapals at CJ's and had some yummy food and then headed back to our house for presents, food and cake.  Jeff's mom is still in Illinois with his sister because one of her sons isn't doing too well.  We're hoping everything will be better soon so we can see everyone.  It's been strange not seeing any of the Dorans in December. :-( Ali loved all her presents!  Auntie Steph got her a video game called "Just Dance" which is HILARIOUS!  You dance and get points and things but it also takes a video of you.  We laughed so hard and I did get some video of them dancing (including Jeff, which was AWESOME).  I can hardly believe that my baby has reached double digits!!  A decade!!! I feel like I'm not old enough to have a ten year old.  When you're ten in our house I guess the celebration lasts a long time.  Jeff's mom, brother and sister-in-law came down to celebrate Joe's birthday with us on Saturday, and my family came over on Sunday  (busy schedules can make it hard for people to get together on one day).  Joe would have some friends over the following weekend!  Our weekend was busy.  Zach had a game on Saturday and Ali had her game on Sunday (which was also Joe's birthday).  Jeff bought a cake for Saturday and I made one for Sunday.  Of course both days were topped off by singing in English AND Polish!  Sto Lat!
