Joey Sings (Boys' Club Pops Concert)

Image
Joe had such a great freshman year and much of that was due to the upper-classmen who were so great to him! He continued to sing with the Boys' Club while he was running track (which meant he missed some practices). The Boys' Club is the Boys' choir totally run by them. I wasn't able to make the last concert (The Pops Concert) because it was Ali's opening Night of "Game of Tiaras" so I was there. Nana and Papa were able to go and get video for me and Joe snapped a selfie. So proud of you, kid. HERE is a video of the boys singin'!

Sean Sings!

Sean did NOT want to sing in his school concert. He actually had soccer practice and wanted to skip the concert but mean mom wouldn't let him. We laughed so hard at his last concert, I didn't want him to miss this one. Well- it turns out it was hard to see him since the girl next to him kept stepping in front of him and when we did see him, he was chatting or goofing around with one of his besties (Brody). It was typical Sean. I took a video but... well... he wasn't really singing anyway so I deleted it. Jeff scooted out early to pick up Zach from his soccer. Sean had a good showing of support and seemed happy we were all there (Nana and Papa of course too).

Zach Sings

Just like Sean had a music concert earlier in the year with second and third graders, Zach had a music concert with fourth and fifth graders. As is our usual this time of year, we were quite busy- Al was at dance and Joe was at piano. Zach came after Stride (running) to this concert and he wasn't very excited (and was pretty tired). He's not a fan of his class/grade in general (lots of behaviors) but as I pointed out that makes it all the more important that he be there to be a good influence. While Sean was pretty animated in his concert, Zach just stood there. He did the occasional hand signal and I think we saw his mouth move a couple times but in general, he looked pretty miserable. This made us smile too. Our kids are all so different. But~ Zach learned a lesson. One of the kids next to him (we could tell) was a handful and kept trying to get the attention of others. Z stayed focused and I'm sure his teacher appreciated it. They put on a nice show about Ame...

Sing On, Sean!!

Sean has been SO excited to have his music concert at the High School! I knew when he was practicing that he didn't quite remember ALL the words so I told him to move his mouth a little even when he didn't know the words so it would look like he did (You know... the old "watermelon" trick...?). Well... he did some BIG watermelons, and yawns and other dramatic moves that had me dying! I took a video of the whole show HERE and the longer it went, the more animated the boy became! There were so many awesome pics, I put them all together in a collage. Al was at dance and Joe was at piano but Dad, Zach, Nana and Papa and I were all there to cheer on Sean. To be fair, Z didn't read his book during the show (it was too dark) but I do love his latest obsession with the Harry Potter books! Jeff left to get Joe before I remembered to snap a few fan photos so this was all I got. After the show, I hit McDonald's for ice cream for everyone and Sean wa...
