Days with the Dorans

Jeff and I were saying we wanted to get to more WMU games (at least one a year) and since they were coming to EMU, this choice was easy. We did have to miss one soccer game but figured it was worth it for the family experience! Danny actually has neighbors (a lot) who went to WMU, so one went and looked into getting big packaged deals and it was cheaper for him to get like 30 tickets! We got our six and paid a little over $3 for each which was cheaper than what it cost us to get into the high school game! We got there early to tailgate and it was fun chatting with their friends, eating food and having some drinks. The little girls were all excited to see Ali and they had fun doing her hair! Love her face in this pic! As game time drew near, we were off! I had never seen a game at EMU before but was looking forward to it. WMU had a good turn out from what I could see from the tailgate. My alma mater's football team has been on fire this year!! We were so excited when we learned they'd be playing at Ford Field for the Mac Championship. Danny got tickets for his family and then I got tickets for Jeff and me. How funny that not only did Danny and I get the same seats but two rows apart, but we were also dressed EXACTLY the same! We had such a fun time. Jeff and I had horrible traffic- 3 cars broke down on our way and one was literally on fire!!! Scary stuff. We saw the guy run from his car!! Once we (finally) got to the D, we ran all the way to the field and didn't miss too much. I had a blast and... WMU WON!!! PJ Fleck (the coach) is a great motivational guy and has coined the phrase "Row the Boat" and propelled the team to a great season. They ended the season 13-0 and get to play in the Cotton Bowl on January 2nd! So proud of my school!!
