Days with the Dorans

Ok. I'm kind of laughing about this. I mentioned during my DC post that Ali is not quite a picture person or a social media girl- she'll learn when THESE are the pictures I have to document her fun trip to Mackinac! I think that she had fun, but I really have no idea... Here is an example of how I get pictures- nothing really of the island, nothing of lots of friends. I really need to show her Joey's posts of these trips so she can get better. I adore her friend, Ellie but seriously... these selfies could have been ANYWHERE!!! Thankfully there was a mom I know chaperoning so she snapped these last two pictures for me! Ali went for orchestra by the way. I'll say she had a blast but really... I have no idea. TALK. TO. YOUR. MAMA. ALI!!!!!

When we learned that the 8th grade band was going to Mackinac, Joe wasn't interested. After his DC trip, though~ things changed and he decided he wanted to go. I was able to sign him up last minute and he was even able to sit and room with his good friends. He and Jordan had fun on the bus playing their games or whatever 14 year old boys do. From there, they joined the rest of their besties (guys and gals) and explored Mackinac City before taking the ferry over to the island. At the island, they were able to check out the fort which Joe loved because he is super interested in history. They then played a little concert (he didn't talk much about this part) and went on a hike. They got to stay on the island which was really cool. He had a lot of fun with his friends.
