Days with the Dorans

The 4th of July was a perfect day! It was busy on the lake so we stayed close to shore. Dale was in town too so he came over and we got to meet his wife Amber! We loved her! Super sweet!! And of course I ran... and made the Charge Instagram story! Whoop whoop!

  Fireworks, Family and Fun!

I love fourth of July on the lake! I feel like there are more and more kiddos each year! I really didn't take any pictures (aside from 3 selfies and the pics of Z with friends) but thankfully others did (including my talented friend Nan who also took all the amazing firework shots- I loved them all so much I just screen shotted them together). Nan is such a talent and it was great catching up with her! It was a perfect day and night filled with food and fun! We even had a drink for Uncle Zig (and sent it to cousin Jeff). We have much to celebrate! Just bummed I didn't really get any pictures of MY friends (we had quite a good turnout)!! Happy Birthday, America!!

I love summer!! I also love the fireworks at the lake! Again we were able to have some friends over and the kids had some people too! My friend Nan came and took some AMAZING pictures (her pics have her name in the corner). I was so glad to be able to see her. It's been too long.  Joe had a few friends over too. He actually wanted them to come over at noon but we talked him into pushing it back to four! I get it though- the lake is a fun place to be! Sadly (for us) Kurt and Eric bought a lake house up north so we haven't seen them at all this summer (boo). The Gordons were up north too. We did get to hang with the Gearys and Cosmans~ so it was almost complete.  The Gerkens came for a bit but with the Littles, they didn't stay too long. Papa hung in the lake and had fun with Carson. We go over to the lake a lot and Papa and I sit in these chairs while the kids swim. One will ask, "Who has it better than us?" to which the other will reply, "No...

I was so happy to be back on the lake for fireworks! Last year Al and I were in Nashville and Jeff was recovering from his clavicle surgery! This year was much better. We had the Cosmans, Turnquist-Stanleys, Gordons, Gerkins, Ang, Carson, Melanie and Dale over so it was a full house! Even Gordie was staying with Nana and Papa so Marty had a friend! I have to admit that I was horrible with taking pictures and all of the pictures from this post I stole from people except for this one of me and Jack and the last firework picture. Ty wasn't with us because he was at a Grateful Dead concert in the Windy City. I was glad that Ang and Carson could come and Mel was in town and I hadn't seen her in forever. The kids had fun swimming and boating all day and even Dave and Jeffy got in the boat for a bit to rescue a swim-away tube! We ate a ton.
