Super-Bowl Spring?

Image
This winter is SO weird. Super cold or warm like spring. It's like it can't make up its mind! I was so excited to go out and hit the pavement and actually get a run in! I made my 100 mile goal for January and am hoping to get it for February too! When I got home from my walk with Marty (which is what I do after my runs), I was pleasantly surprised to see the boys breaking up the ice on the driveway and clearing it! I ran a couple errands and came back to see that dad had set up his beloved disc golf nets and it was a family affair! Even AJ was in on the game! We don't make Super-bowl plans since we usually go to bed after halftime. Nana, Papa, Kyle, and Carter came over though and we made nachos and these yummy pizza rolls (there's perks to running on a treadmill which includes watching cooking shows and getting ideas). They were yummy but the game and commercials were BORING! Still with the way the day went we can't complain!

Snow Day and the SOUPer Bowl

Image
Sunday we got some good snow and the roads were a bit dicey (Al and I had to venture out to get milk in the midst of it). The boys were having fun making this wall when we got home. It was quite cute. They had a whole assembly thing going. Z would take Sean on the sled, he'd fill up a brick and they'd bring it back to Joe and head out again. They had a blast. Dad destroyed it later though when we got more snow and he had to snow-blow. He actually did it during the Super Bowl half time show (my favorite part- loved Justin Timberlake). He got a call just prior to going out that school was cancelled the next day due to the roads. We were so bummed (but ESPECIALLY Ali). She wasn't bummed for too long because we got our call shortly after. I really enjoyed eating our dill-pickle soup for the SOUPer bowl and watching the game (more than I have in the past). The commercials were good too. The Tide commercials and the Dirty Dancing commercial were my favorites though ...
