Days with the Dorans

  It was time for some family fun and Gingerbread house making! By the way, the Villages are done and HERE is my North Pole Village! I love having it in the kitchen where we can see and enjoy it so much! The kits I got were not the easiest but that kind of made it funnier... Joe and Zach were pretty fast to give up (but we made them keep trying). Dad gave up trying and just ate his! I think Ali and I did the best! Below is a video I took!

I thought this was the first time we had ever done gingerbread houses but Joey corrected me and told me that we had done it before but it must have been a while since I had forgotten!  We all had fun and decided that this needed to be a tradition. I helped Sean assemble his house and Jeff was trying to help Zach but let's just say, I helped him too... ;-) After an hour or waiting for our houses to dry/harden/secure, it was time to decorate! It was fun watching them and their different ideas and of course listening to their conversations as they worked. I escaped for a bit to finish wrapping presents (I don't remember EVER having wrapping done this early (the 23rd) but I'm thrilled about it!!! I think that Sean ate quite a bit of his candies instead of just putting them on his house! All those sweet treats, I can hardly blame him!  The kits made this so easy!
