Footloose (Final Weekend)

So this post is pretty much going to be a giant picture drop! Ali and I ended up going to the rest of the shows (thanks to working again) and the whole family joined us (in great seats) for the final night. Everyone LOVED it!!! I'm a bit sad Joey only has 3 HS musicals left! What a great experience! The two White Knights with Mrs. Connell! With Logan Eli- Joey's Trumpet Squad Leader Love this kid! He's super tall so I had Joey stand on a step! With Garrett and Justin Edgy Veggies With Emma A bunch of Joey's friends- from Cast Party Gabe and Joey! Proud Grandparents- Grandma couldn't make it due to health issues. Joey's kind of bouquet!  Part of the set that the kids signed for Joey- love this! This is where Al and I sat- Shows were SOLD OUT! Only seats left in the place!

Footloose (weekend 1)

I was SOOOO excited to see Footloose! Joey has been so talking about it nonstop (since it's taken up all his time) and I couldn't wait to see it put together. Unlike the middle school musicals, I had no "sneak peeks" so this was a total surprise. Auntie Jodi had a sick kiddo at home so wasn't able to make opening night (when I had tickets for us) so Matt became my date. We had a great dinner before and LOVED the show! I kind of loved the ad I came up with... On the second night, Ali and I worked the tickets (she gets NJHS hours) and then she left with Jeff and I joined Danny, Steph and the kids in the balcony for show two.  I have to say the more I see this show, the more I love it. I am amazed at the voices and choreography- the acting- it all came together so nicely! The cool part was I was also able to spot my boy! He has loved the friendships he made through this. He knew a lot of the people through band and other things but I think ...

He was Prepared!!!!! Lion King Jr!

After months of practices and rehearsals, showtime for The Lion King Jr. finally arrived! I made a preview of the shows HERE and helped do their photo boards. I had seen much of the rehearsals but was blown away with how great the show was. Of the three shows I've seen at the middle school this was my favorite and not just because I loved the best worst guy in the show! The talent was great and strong in both shows (double casts). I was so nervous that first night because I had seen the other Scar and she did a great job! Jodi and I went to dinner and then the two of us went to see Joe. HE. WAS. OUTSTANDING. I was so impressed with his singing too. I recorded all his parts in that first show so I could sit back and watch the second (equally great) show. You can see my video HERE . If you'd like to fast-forward to his singing, skip ahead to 3 minutes. I continue to be amazed by this talented teacher who has become a favorite of ALL my kids (and me). She has Ali in ...
