Zach's Choir Concert

Image
I couldn't wait for Z's choir concert. Of course he didn't want to do any small group or solo work which is a shame because he has such a nice voice... maybe next year. He did get a new vocal teacher~ He's Polish!!! Most of the concert which you can see HERE , Zach was blocked by the teacher or he looked pretty miserable. I finally caught his eye and told him to smile which you can see (top picture). Overall it was a pretty quick concert- so quick that Sean didn't even have a lot of time to finish his book. I also forgot to tell Nana and Papa. Thankfully they're close so could run over. I texted them where we were sitting and they had no idea what I was talking about... I told you it's a busy month. My brain is fried!! Love our Goose! Great job, buddy!!

Joey Sings (in a concert)

Image
Life has been so busy but why not add something else? Joey decided to join the men's choir (called "Boys' Club") which is a boys' singing group that meets after school once (or twice) a week and they sing. It's run by the boys so no adults at all which was pretty cool.  He has made a lot of friends from the group (and the musical) and it's so fun to see him enjoying high school like he is. Nana wasn't able to make the concert but I taped it and I'm glad they did. I think they sounded great! You can click HERE to see (and hear) them.

Joe's Last Middle School Choir Concert

Image
Joe had his last choir concert of the year. I'm so glad he decided to take the class and step out of his comfort zone. Of course he didn't go for any solos because he's quiet like that (though we know he can sing from his musical stuff...). I hope he gets the opportunity to sing in high school too! I'm just so proud of him. You can hear the 8th grade numbers and one where they joined the other choirs  HERE . As we begin these "lasts" I'm reminded of how anxious I felt (the stress on the "I") about Joey starting middle school. I thought he'd be eaten up but I was wrong. He thrived and his talents uncovered~ from music, art, running and just being a cool kid! He came in as this little tiny 6th grader and he's leaving bigger than his mama (in height anyway...). Nana and Papa were able to make it and Al also was able to get there in time to hear the concert including one of her friends who did well with her solo (not all solos wer...

Joe Sings

Image
So incredibly proud of this kid of ours! He took a leap and decided to try choir. He's having a lot of fun and since he proved he could sing when he was Scar (and we KNOW he can sing) we were excited that not only is he doing something out of his box but also making new friends. Way to go, Joe. To hear (and see) his pieces, you can click HERE . Nana and Papa were able to come but Al was at dance. Thanks for coming out and taking these pics so I could take the video!
