Our Visit to Santa's Cabin 2014!
| And the gang was all here!! |
Of all of our Christmas traditions, THIS is one of my favorites. At ages where their friends are slowly starting to NOT believe in Santa, our BIGS still do and I think that's because they've met the REAL Santa. Although this is our fourth year visiting Santa and the Mrs. while they are in town at their cabin, the magic of our visit always makes me smile. Here, Santa was congratulating Ali on being an Advanced Dazzling Star, her awesome performance on the Sharknados Soccer Team AND remembering the DAY of her birthday AND that she is going to be DOUBLE-DIGITS! I have no idea how he keeps everything straight with all those children he watches, but somehow he does!
We love visiting with the Clauses and learned that it is going to be their 50th wedding anniversary! What an amazing milestone but not a surprise at all! Their love for each other is so much that they share it with others. We love catching up with them (since they 'KNOW' all about us).
While the kids took turns talking to Santa, of course there were things to play with too. We were joined by my brother and his family and Nana and Papa who take us every year. Thanks again for an amazing time!
After all the kids talked with Santa (and we, of course, snapped LOTS of pictures), we got some group shots. I laugh because the one of ALL of us (at the top of this blog) was quite popular. We got it in an ornament (the same ornament) from BOTH Drapal families (Yes. We have two IDENTICAL ornaments now). Great minds think alike!!!

Before we left, we caught up a bit more and of course Santa insisted we do a group hug before we left. Everyone is in there (except for Nana who is our family photographer). Thank you Santa and Mrs. Claus for another AMAZING visit! I took more video and pictures and of course put it to music. You can see it below or by clicking HERE.
After our visit, we decided to go to dinner at The Lodge. What a great place because on Sundays (it was a Sunday) and kids eat FREE! This was good since Joey no longer eats off the kid menu and split $20 wings with his dad!!
The kids also had fun getting their faces painted FOR FREE (a tip of course). She did a great job and even added glitter to the girls- which they LOVED! Here are their pictures (minus Joe Cool who didn't want paint on his face). Ugh! He's growing up! First ordering off the grown-up menu and now no paint! (sigh)
Time is going too fast. Need to slow this down!!

I always enjoy your cabin visits too. What a great family tradition. He sounds like a great Santa. Love the face paintings too!
