Family Time



We had a rare moment with all of us home and it was WONDERFUL but it didn't last too long. Soon Joe was back off to school/work and the rest of us were off to a DCFC game.


The games really are a lot of fun and not too expensive. Of course we first stopped to get some good Polish food! We had Kielbasa Kapusta dogs and Pierogi which was SOOOO good!


It is really such a fun vibe. We sat on the opposite side we usually sit because it was packed. We actually really liked it and had a great view of the game and the area where everyone eats/drinks/hangs. Zach got a new shirt and owes me for life. I'm glad I have that down in writing now.


Unfortunately it was an awful game. The other team scored in the first few minutes and then nothing much happened on either side. We decided to leave a bit early and beat the crowd. We actually saw Dave Baldwin there which was really cool too. I put together THIS quick video of more of my pictures.

The boys left EARLY!! I'm baaaack! After much too long not blogging, it is time for me to get back in the saddle. I'll be going forward and backward to fill in the gaps because clearly...  a lot has happened. The last post I made, Joey was in high school and he is now a junior in college. Covid did a number on me I think but I'm ready to start telling our story again~ I do love to write and my family is of course my favorite subject! Spied them on social media... Saying Goodbye...

Well, we knew this day would come.  Prayed that it would be clear and it was. On Sunday night I laid with Cobi as I have (more so in recent weeks).  He asked to go outside at one point and he was out longer than usual.  I called for him to come inside and he didn't come. I had been cleaning the kitchen and I thought perhaps I had let him inside.  My brain isn't the best. I ran upstairs and to all his favorite places, but he was nowhere to be found.  I grabbed my shoes, wrapped my arms around me and went out to the cold calling for my baby, in a panic.  He came to me slowly from out in the darkness and when we got inside I sat with him, wrapped my arms around him and cried. As promised.  He had told me.  This was it. 2012 Election

My Dear Joey, Ali Jane, Goose and Sean, I love that I have this blog to communicate to you and it has been fun (now that the Bigs are old enough to really dig into OUR history) to listen to you read your story and chuckle along to some of the fun things you've done.  I realized that I wrote about the election four years ago (when I first started this blogging thing) and thought I should write about the one we just had.   So here we are in 2012 and President Barack Obama has been elected for another term.  You were all quite funny last night as we talked a bit about the election.  You each were able to tell us who your friends were voting for (but of course you Ali correctly pointed out that your friends can't vote until they're 18) and you each were rooting for one of the candidates (the same one) which was funny for me.  You would watch as some of the states lit up and you'd cheer, or you'd sigh.  It was during this time that we had a good tal...
