Today was our last day in Florida and while it has been a wonderful vacation- I am READY to go home. Overall the kids have been great- but today we pushed our limits. Last night Sean was up much of the night and Jeff stayed with him, so we let him sleep in and were extra quiet- even eating breakfast out on the patio. Because Ali Jane was feeling better, we went back to Universal and took everyone! Zach was a big help since he had gone yesterday...

Actually three days of amusement parks may be one too many for our two year old. He was a mess much of the day- from wanting to ride in different strollers to having to be near Nana and Papa at all moments! The
Bigs didn't want to get in this picture because they were anxious to get to the kids' part of Universal... (Joe had already filled Al in on the details so they sat and planned what they would do while my folks and Z met my brother's favorite cartoon family!
DOH!

The first stop the
Bigs made was at the Woody Woodpecker roller coaster and yes- those are Ali Jane's hands high in the air next to Jeff! Joe was excited to go again but kept his hands safely on the bar in front of him. Zach had his second fit of the day during this time because he wanted to go too- but couldn't because he didn't make the height requirement!

After the coaster, the kids went to Curious George's water park and had a blast! Since we had scoped out the place the day before, we came with bathing suits and towels.
Jonasen was the most excited about the water park. Al and Z had a good time but ended up hanging out in another area that was water free.

We were pretty excited because my folks offered to watch the kids while they played so we could go on some 'Big People' rides. We loved the "Mummy" ride but thought that the "Twister" ride (which wasn't really a ride) was a total waste of time. When we came back, the kids were in "Barney's Backyard" and Z did NOT want to leave... (and so began the next tantrum...)

I carried him out kicking and screaming and we had some lunch before making our way back. Though Z was our loose cannon all day, we still managed to fit in some more rides with the
bigs. They had fun in the
MIB ride, though the line was crazy long! We hit a few more rides with them and split a delicious Miller Light in a bottle for 6 bucks while waiting for my folks to get off a grown up ride! (We can't have all the fun!)

Our
tantruming two year old- finally passed out- taking up a double stroller all to himself and so we had and Jeff carry Sean Asher. It was so nice that Zach finally slept. He was clearly out of sorts and needed some down time from the entire week's excitement. The only problem was his nap didn't last too long and he wasn't any happier when he woke!

Sean on the other hand did a great job and although he's probably a little 'off'- being in a different environment and always on the go- he's had a great time. It's hard to believe he'll be six months old tomorrow! He is so close to sitting- he'll actually sit for a while and then slowly start to lean... and he's also able to roll from his back to his front (though he doesn't do this a lot and isn't rolling all over the place yet- which is fine for us- he seems to be growing so fast!)

And so I write, while waiting for the last of the laundry to dry so we can pack our car and head out in the morning. Jeff hit the grocery store so we can have some fruit and PB & J tomorrow. We had a wonderful time, but are certainly ready to be back home! (Hopefully the drive will go well...)
That is allot to do with little ones but it looks like such a great vacation. Wow, going home with clean laundry is awesome too!
