Ali Jane goes SHORT!

I've said it before and I'll say it again... A bonus for marrying Jeff was that he has lots of thick, curly hair. (Though you wouldn't know it since he buzzes it all off every couple weeks...) My hair on the other hand is thin, bone straight, and fine. (The worst combination possible in my opinion...)
So what happened when we had children??? Well our boys got Jeff's beautiful hair and Ali Jane... well- she got mine...
Her hair is fairly easy to cut- so I'd been just trimming the back and her bangs this last year, but since Joe and I were going for a cut- she wanted to come too- and when Ms. Diane asked her how she should cut her hair, Ali Jane wanted it "short like mom's". I absolutely LOVE IT! But was sweating while she was getting it cut... not because I was worried about what it looked like or that I wanted it long- but Ali Jane was HORRIBLE! She pouted the whole time- wouldn't talk to Diane- and scrunched her nose and kept her head down.... errrrr... Not one of our best outings... The good news is after the apt., Ali Jane did FINALLY apologize to Ms. Diane and thank her for the nice haircut. (sigh)
So I did snap some quick pics of the new hairdo but that also wasn't easy- and by the time I realized I had my flash off- Al was in 'silly mode' again. The two of us are so much alike sometimes it scares me- but I was so glad that she thought on her own to apologize to Ms. Diane- and I apologized to Ali Jane for giving her my horrible hair... (Hey... I tried!)

    I LOVE her haircut! She actually looks a lot older with the cute, short 'do :-) Hope you're doing well...one more month!!!! I can't WAIT to hear the boy/girl news!

So tired...

It's getting to me... I don't know if it's the sleep deprivation or the crazy schedule of being a full time working mom and having four kids at home... but it's getting to me. I am so tired. Last night I was up at midnight with Sean, then at 2:30 with Joe who was sick and threw up, I got back to bed at 3 and slept for 15 minutes until Sean woke up again. Saying Goodbye...

Well, we knew this day would come.  Prayed that it would be clear and it was. On Sunday night I laid with Cobi as I have (more so in recent weeks).  He asked to go outside at one point and he was out longer than usual.  I called for him to come inside and he didn't come. I had been cleaning the kitchen and I thought perhaps I had let him inside.  My brain isn't the best. I ran upstairs and to all his favorite places, but he was nowhere to be found.  I grabbed my shoes, wrapped my arms around me and went out to the cold calling for my baby, in a panic.  He came to me slowly from out in the darkness and when we got inside I sat with him, wrapped my arms around him and cried. As promised.  He had told me.  This was it. It's the Honest Scrap!

So some of you know that I have two blogs. This blog- which has reflected on my day to day adventures with my living children, things I love and the occasional "Pause" blog where I remember my angels. My other blog (That I refer to as my 'Pause' blog) has been an entire blog about my angels-a therapy to me in a sense- how they've changed me, restored me and helped me.
